Rosetta Robinson October 20, 1945 - July 29, 2007

Rosetta Yvonne Robinson entered this world October 20, 1945 a blessing and a joy to Louise and Robert Hill.  Even as a child her kind, loving spirit evidenced the love of God in her heart and endeared her to everyone.  She had a nurturing spirit, evidenced by her life’s accomplishments.

Rosetta grew up on the West side of Chicago.  She attended St. Agnes Catholic School and graduated from Harrison High School in 1963. It was there she met and married Leo Gordon. To this union two children were born. She went on to continue her education at Olive Harvey College where she majored in Early Childhood Development.

She later returned to school where she received training to become a Phlebotomist and Dialysis Technician. With this training, she began her career of 25 year in the medical field. It was during this period she reunited with a dear friend and married Henry Robinson. She dedicated her life to Christ and served tirelessly on the Pastor’s Aide Board at New Greater St. John until her health began to fail. So many times she gave far more than she received, never once did she complain.

Rosetta began her medical profession with Loyola University Medical Center. She continued her career at Jackson Park Hospital. While working there she developed a special friendship with Diane Moore. Together they became entreprenuers and business partners of RODI’s. She then became a member of the Acute Renal Dialysis team for West Suburban Kidney Center. Her last tenure was with Fresenius through Trinity Hospital. The onset of Kidney failure ended her career but in her determined spirit she continued to nurture her family and devoted herself tirelessly to their comfort and security.

Rosetta battled Kidney failure for 7 years (God’s number of completion). She continued her fight, held her faith and lived her life to the fullest through numerous medical challenges.  Through it all, she never lost her faith in God and with the constant support of her family she persevered.  She touched everyone she met with her kind, loving gentle manner. Quality of life and embracing God’s blessings for her family was an important part of Rosetta’s life.

Rosetta received her wings and entered into eternity July 29, 2007.
