Leeander "Lee" McCullough

February 15, 1942 - August 19, 2008

Leeander "Lee" McCullough was born February 15, 1942, the only boy of six children to the proud parents of Ledford and Carmilla McCullough, who preceded him in death. His sister Marie Nalls also preceded him in death in December 2007 as well as his loving mother-in-law, Melvena Aaron in February 2008.

Lee received his entire education in the Chicago public school systems. As a young man he began working numerous jobs along side his uncle, but his chosen career was being a Security Guard for over twenty years. Lee was always known for his "bowlegged walk", sense of humor, his wonderful conversation, and his ability to be loyal to family and friends.

Lee met and continued a loving relationship until his untimely death with the  love of his life Rita "Rennie" Thompson, to this union he acquired two daughters that he raised and nurtured as his own. He also had a son and daughter from previous relationships.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2008, Lee made his transition to glory at 10:15 a.m. He leaves behind all wonderful memories to cherish and keep to his "Wife" of 31 years, Rita "Rennie", his only son William, his two daughters, Thometha "Memie" Holley and Nyoka "Yogi" Thompson, five grandchildren, Jasmin, Maurice, Khari Jr., Matthew, Tahria and one "special grandchild", Charne, four sisters, Voncella, Marion, Pearl, and Arnette. His best friend of fifteen years Leroy Smith, his endearing Aunt Mattie and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
